All About Me
Anjonai Bruno, the founder of Dream Serve, was born and raised in NorthWest Houston and attended school in Aldine ISD. Her passion for volleyball began in the 6th grade when she was introduced to the sport in her physical education class. From then on, she played competitively throughout middle and high school. At the age of 14, she was introduced to club volleyball and played for smaller clubs in the Houston-Metropolitan Area for four years.
Anjonai's desire to play at a higher level led her to research the steps needed to be recruited. Although she always knew she wanted to attend an HBCU, their recruiting wasn't as extensive as other schools with more money. Despite this, Anjonai decided to stop playing volleyball to attend Florida A&M University (FAMU). While in college, she began coaching club volleyball, shadowing the Head Coach of Florida A&M University, and started a the Women's Volleyball Club at FAMU. This club team allowed girls an opportunity to play competitively against other schools in the area.
Anjonai's passion for volleyball and her experience as a player and coach inspired her to create Dream Serve. Her goal is to provide young athletes with the resources and support they need to achieve their dreams of playing at the collegiate level. Through Dream Serve, Anjonai hopes to empower and inspire the next generation of volleyball players.
